How it Works

Signing up

Fill out the application form and pay the subscription fee. If you do not already have a domain name, Artdox can help you to obtain one.

Once confirmation of payment has been received and you have a domain name, Artdox will put up an "Under Construction" page for you and upload everything you will need to get started. Within 24 hours you will receive an email with your userid and password.

Surf to your website, click LOGIN and get started creating your site.

If you can point and click, you can create your site. As you click on various choices you can see the result immediately. Don't like the color you picked? Pick a different one! You may choose from 216 websafe colors. Experiment with colors, layouts, fonts and button styles. Your work is completely private until you are ready to reveal it. When you like the way your site looks, click the Publish button and your site will be open to the public.

You may return whenever and as often as you like to make changes to your site.

Quick Start Guide

Click the Global button and start choosing colors, a font for your name, etc.

Click the Upload button and upload a few images.

Click the Pages button and add your first gallery. Click edit to place your images.

Click Preview to see what you have created.

Continue uploading images, adding pages and arranging your site. When you have things the way you want them, click the Publish button to make it all public.

Hint: Before you begin, give some thought to what pages you will want in your site. Think about how you want to organize your images into galleries and onto pages within a gallery. Some of you may want to arrange your work chronologically, or by medium or by series or by some other method. If you plan that out first, your work will progress smoothly. Remember, you can always change your mind and rearrange it all afterwards.
